Thanksgiving Holiday Hours
Thanksgiving Holiday Hours – All Board of County Commissioners departments, Adminstrative offices, and the Pet Center will be closed Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23. Library branches and bookmobiles will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21. Library branches, the Pet Center, and Animal Control will resume standard hours Saturday, November 24. All other offices resume standard hours on Monday, November 26.
Garbage, recycling, and yard debris will not be collected Thursday, November 22, and the Tillman Ridge and Stratton Road solid waste scale houses will be closed. Beginning November 23, collections will be delayed one day. All routes will be completed by Saturday, November 24. Scale houses resume standard hours on Friday, November 23.
Fair Housing Survey – St. Johns County is conducting a survey to garner feedback from residents regarding fair housing within the County. The purpose of the survey is to help identify whether barriers to fair housing choice exist in St. Johns County in the rental and real estate markets and the mortgage lending, insurance, and appraisal industries. Short Term Vacation Rental Survey – St. Johns County will be conducting a survey on how Vacation Rentals within the County jurisdiction affect neighboring properties and members of the community. St. Johns County is moving forward creating regulations to mitigate the impact of vacation rentals and would like your input and feedback. St. Johns County staff will be taking various steps to garner information in the next few months, which include a community survey and a community workshop, which will then be discussed at a public hearing in front of the Board of County Commissioners. 2676591296

Adoption Day Ceremony – St. Johns County hosted an inaugural Adoption Day Ceremony at the Courthouse in conjunction with National Adoption Awareness Month. Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library Renovation Closure – Branch will be closed November 3 through March 2019 due to a renovation project. The project includes the replacement of the fire suppression system. Vilano Boat Ramp Floating Dock Repaired and Open to the Public – Temporary repairs are complete. The dock will be permanently repaired and open in February 2019. South Ponte Vedra and Vilano Beaches Dune Restoration Project – The Board of County Commissioners created the Ponte Vedra and Vilano Beaches Dune and Beach Restoration Municipal Service Taxing Unit (MSTU) on December 19, 2017. The purpose of the MSTU is to fund a portion of a proposed one-time project to place an average of 20 cubic yards of sand per linear foot between 2539 South Ponte Vedra Boulevard and 3244 Coastal Highway.
